This lot hails from Sakoko, a village in Ermera, and features varieties grown organically under shade. Railaco Station has been operating since 2008, processing coffee from 100 producers each week. It employs 86 permanent and 150 seasonal workers and houses eight washing tanks. Staff handle all stages of wet and dry milling, drying, and precise sorting. While organic waste from processing is repurposed into fertiliser for the contributing farmers. The station also supports its workers with meals, accommodation, and a 6% employer contribution. Hand-picked cherries from surrounding farms are processed at the station using floatation to remove low-density fruit, followed by sun drying on raised beds and patios. Final steps include milling, density and colour sorting, hand grading, and export preparation.
