This coffee is the result of the work of 750 different small farmers spread across 13 villages. The cherries are hand-pulped by the farmers and then taken to the APKO Co-operative for processing and drying. The wet-hulling process, a tradition in Sumatra, coupled with the region's microclimate gives the coffee a very distinct flavour and deep syrupy Body. In the cup you will taste ripe limes, candied apple, gooseberries and chocolates with a nice intense aftertaste.

The Eastern Highlands is a rugged and mountainous region that is abundant in river systems, lush tropical rainforest and home to a vast number of fauna and flora. This rich ecosystem and fertile climate are the perfect mix for quality coffee. Overseeing the work of multiple farmers is Maureen Ken, a local businesswoman who helps to guarantee a consistent coffee farming practice. In the cup, you have a full body with a fruity and chocolatey coffee, finished with subtle vanilla notes.
